Most conventional drain cleaners contain harsh chemicals like sodium hydroxide or bleach. Clean Habits Drain Cleaner Concentrate is different. Its formula includes:

• Water and sodium laureth sulfate (SLES): a mild, EU Ecolabel–approved surfactant.
• Bacillus ferment and inulin: probiotics and prebiotics that power Synbio Technology®.
• Phenoxyethanol: a safe, widely used preservative.
• Perfume and colorants (CI 19140, CI 42051): gentle, Ecolabel-compliant fragrance and dyes.

This makes the formula safe, effective, and more sustainable than traditional drain cleaners.

Conventional chemical cleaners rely on harsh reactions that break down clogs quickly but stop working in about 30 minutes. Clean Habits Drain Cleaner Concentrate works in two stages:

1. Surfactants act immediately to loosen buildup.
2. Once applied, probiotics “wake up” and continuously break down grime, sludge, and organic matter for up to five days. This dual action not only clears drains but also prevents odors and scale buildup over time.

For initial treatment, run warm water down the drain for one minute. Turn it off and pour 2 cups of drain cleaner into the drain, followed by 2 cups of warm water. Let it sit for 6-8 hours before running more water.

For maintenance, pour ½ cup down the drain every 2-4 weeks.
